Finally WhatsApp has launched its much awaited voice calling feature for Android users. And soon IOS users will also be able to use this feature.
What are the requirements to use WhatsApp calling feature?
You just need to download a new updated version of WhatsApp from Play Store, WhatsApp website or you can click here to download. You need to have version 2.11.561 or above in order to use the calling feature
To check the current installed version of WhatsApp on your device you can go to WhatsApp settings -> Help -> About.
How to Activate voice calling feature?
- Go to Play Store, WhatsApp website or you can click here to download.
- After download WhatsApp, you have to install the new version and your WhatsApp will get updated.
- You need an invitation to get calling feature activated. Ask your friend who have calling feature activated to call you and you have to receive that call, then after ending the call just close WhatsApp and reopen it. You will see three different tabs such as Calls, Chats, Contacts and a new call button above these tabs.
How to call a friend through WhatsApp?
Click on that new call button and select the contact you want to call.
If the person you have called is not having an updated version, you will see an error shown in an image below
Note:- You can call only those who have updated version. You have to tell your friends to get an updated version to enjoy voice calling feature.
